Being a Leader

As the financial leader, your goal is to help ensure your life’s work works for you and the people you love and the causes that matter most – your financial clan. In your quest to protect and grow your assets to support your financial clan, you aspire to lead with confidence and clarity of vision.

But not unlike Scottish kings of yore, you may encounter obstacles and indecision along the way. You might be burdened by information overload, bad advice, financial illiteracy, and analysis paralysis. Or you could be diverted from your destination by the day-to-day “noise” that serves only to confuse and distract you.

At Confido Advice & Investments, we can help you overcome these barriers to success and expand your view of what’s possible. We have the experience and expertise to assist family, business, and community leaders in achieving the outcomes they desire. We serve:

What is a Financial Clan Leader?

Historically, a clan was a group of close-knit and interrelated families–a term typically associated with families in the Scottish Highlands, such as the Boyd Clan–or neighbors with a strong common interest.

In modern times, a financial clan can be your family, your neighbors, your friends, your coworkers, your business, your community, and charitable organizations. As a leader, they are individuals and groups you wish to support with your financial, intellectual, and human capital.

First-Generation

Wealth Creators

We help highly compensated corporate executives and professionals whose time is at a premium develop a comprehensive plan and implement their vision with services similar to a virtual multi-family office. Through education and integrated, effective, delegation between our investment, tax, and estate personnel, the Confido Team supports these wealth creators to help avoid the “shirt sleeves to shirt sleeves” proverb of family wealth lost by the third generation.

Second-Generation

Wealth Maximizers

If you are a second- (or third- or fourth-) generation beneficiary of family wealth or expect to receive a family inheritance, your goal is to minimize your taxes, grow your wealth as a prudent steward, and leverage the efforts of those who came before to execute your own vision. We can manage the relationship between trustees and beneficiaries, adapt the governance framework left by prior generations to adapt for modern times, as well as help you understand the tax implications and consequences of inheriting different types of investment vehicles.

Leaders of Business

Business Owners

Seasoned entrepreneurs understand the value of, “Who Not How”. To stay focused on your unique ability where you are delivering the most value to your business, employees, stakeholders, and your loved ones you must assemble an integrated and effective team of your “Whos”. At Confido, we strive to serve to be your “Who” across planning, investment, tax, estate, retirement plans, lending, outsourced CFO, and M&A through our resources and network of professional colleagues. Whether you are just starting on your entrepreneurial journey or on the eve of a liquidity event, Confido has the capabilities entrepreneurs need to help ensure that your life’s work works for you and the people and things you love.

Philanthropic and Nonprofit Leaders

Not all financial clans are made of multi-generational family members. If your legacy is meant to further the mission of philanthropic organizations, we can assist you in making the largest impact possible through vehicles such as charitable remainder unit trusts, donor-advised funds, or private foundations. Whether your resources are meant to fully or partially support philanthropic endeavors, these vehicles may also enable you to take advantage of tax benefits now and retain control over your assets during your own journey.

A Journey With a
Happy Ending

When you work with Confido Advice & Investments, we seek to create a fully informed, integrated, multigenerational wealth plan. By embracing what’s possible and developing a plan that your clan can truly believe in.
